Music -- Instruction and study

Collection includes original manuscripts, notes used for class teaching, recordings of all his works, obituary, tribute to him by Stephen Erdely, interview on tape with Dr. Sandy Ives about Cazden.

The collection contains minutes, treasurers' reports, handbooks, directories and correspondence of the Association. It also includes videocassettes, audiocassettes and records of various performances sponsored by the organization.

Interviewees talk about violin, guitar, drum, harp, and cello making, as well as playing instruments and music shops.

This collection reflects Norman Cazden's career as both collector and composer.

A collection of Penobscot elder Watie Akins's papers, focused on Wabanaki music. The collection includes copies of research findings, grant material, correspondence, financial records, and research CD copies of Wabanaki music.
