Costigan talks about the techniques of shoring logs after they had been sorted at the booms on the Penobscot Rive; the use of steam boats and bateaux to haul the rafts of logs to the appropriate spot on the shore; diagrams. Also included: two diagrams. The interview is part of a project that led to an issue of Northeast Folklore, XVII: “Argyle Boom.”
