MF209 contains fieldwork and other materials collected by folklorist Millie Rahn from 1996-2008 in the course of contract work she did in Maine for various funding bodies, most especially “Come See What’s Cooking in Hancock County” a week-long tour culminating in a Saturday festival October 3, 1998, produced by Hancock Country Planning Commission.

The Sewall Company Aerial Photographs collection, 1940 to circa 2014, consists of nearly 1 million aerial images donated by the James W. Sewall Co. in Old Town, Maine. The collection contains original aerial photography of Maine and New England, as well as a series of aerial photographs of Vietnam in 1966, captured by Sewall over the span of 65 years. In addition, nearly 100 boxes of maps and documentation are included.

The major focus is on the relations between the summer people who owned estates in Northeast Harbor and Blue Hill, Maine, and the native Mainers who worked for them on the estates. The period covered in the interviews was a one hundred year stretch between 1880 and 1980.
