Vital statistics records

Papers of Joshua A. Blen and his wife Emily A. Blen of Dresden, Maine. The family name is also spelled Blenn. The collection contains mostly deeds for property bought and sold by the Blens. A notebook from an unidentified compiler containing information on births, deaths and marriages in an unidentified community is also found in the collection; its relationship to the Blen family is not clear.

A photocopy of a handwritten autobiography of a Maine resident who lived in the first half of the 19th century. Included also is a genealogical record and list of marriages performed by William Butterfield as Justice of the Peace.

Letters, diaries, notes, articles, photos, clippings, and theater memorabilia collected by Miss Forbes-Robertson for her book My Aunt Maxine.

Materials in the collection generally include newspaper clippings, original records and copies of original records, and notes from various sources. Genealogies also include Barbara Dunn Hitchner correspondence.
