Ronald F. Banks Papers
The papers record the literary work of Ronald F. Banks. They contain correspondence, notes, typescripts, and galley and printers proofs as well as copies of his Ph.D. thesis at the University of Maine and research materials for his unfinished book on federal Indian policy.

Big Thunder Photograph
A photograph of Frank Loring taken in 1898 in a room in Oak Hall, a dormitory at the University of Maine. Information found with the photograph indicates that it was probably taken by Percy L. Ricker, a member of the class of 1900 at the university, or by another unidentified student.

Henry Russ Butler Photographs

William C. Chapman Diary
A diary kept by William Chapman from January-May, 1926, while a student at the University of Maine. In it he details his daily activities both as a student and as a member of Alpha Tau Omega. There are frequent references to Ruth Hastings, a student at Bates College who later became his wife.

Clinton Llewellyn Cole Papers
The collection contains material from Clinton Cole's years as a student at the University of Maine, including diaries from 1898 and 1899, memorabilia from his social activities at the university, lecture notes and photographs. The bulk of the collection is made up of Cole's scrapbooks and individual illustrations from newspapers and magazines of a variety of ships. Also included is an index to these illustrations by Robin Tarbell.
Lewellyn C. Daigle Scrapbook
A scrapbook compiled and annotated by Daigle describing his activities during World War II. The scrapbook contains photographs of fellow soldiers as well as of places Daigle was stationed during the war. The collection also contains two books: "God is my co-pilot" by Robert L. Scott and "Born in battle" by Rowan T. Thomas. The latter book contains a dedication to Daigle from Capt. Thomas.
Lawrence Weston Davee Papers
The collection contains papers of Lawrence W. Davee and includes biographical information, photographs, membership certificates and information about awards he received from the University of Maine. It also contains some information about his father, Everett W. Davee.

Raymond Henry Fogler Papers
Raymond Henry Fogler was a businessman and alumnus of the University of Maine. The University's library was named in his honor in 1962, becoming the largest library in Maine and serving as a foundation for intellectual pursuits at the university. Included in the collection are letters, correspondence, photographs, and memorabilia, spanning from his early life in South Hope, Maine, through his education, business career, and naval career, as well as personal photographs and mementos.

James Hilty Research Material on Frank Lamson-Scribner
Items gathered in 1993 by James W. Hilty, professor of plant pathology at the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture, in the course of research for a biography of Frank Lamson-Scribner. Materials include copies of original correspondence, reports, photographs, etc., held by repositories such as Bowdoin College, the Smithsonian Institution, the Library of Congress, the National Archives, and the University of Tennessee.

The columns are about life in the Soviet Union, politics, the history, literature and people of Russia as well as the experience of being a Russian emigrant in Maine. The town of Richmond, Maine, a center for Russian settlement in Maine, is featured in several of the columns.
