Slide Series Collection
Scope and Contents
A series of slides related to Maine, USA primarily as well a Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick, Canada. The contents cover landscapes, architecture, folk art, and local occupations. It seems likely that many of these, especially Box 1, were used in lectures.

Box 1
The slides are all well organized with numbers, some labels, and some index sheets, but no other context. The word series in the folder section is the language used by whomever organized the slides in the past and was preserved so the finding aid matches the material.
Folder 1: 1 pp. typed and partially handwritten index to the slides series 1-29, 1 pp. with information about the number of slides per series (for series 1-28 and 31), and 17 sheets of series of slides (1-17).

Box 2:
Carousel 1: Written on the box is 83.1-80, England, Norway, Sweden and Finland and house styles. Dates from October 10, 1991 to October 26 1991.
Note saying that these two (2 and 3) were inherited from Lynn Franklin.
Carousel 2: On the box of the second carousel there is some illegible writing but says Lynn Franklin on it and Like Heaven to Me. No dates.
Carousel 3: On the third carousel there is Like Heaven to Me and Franklin on the outside. Inside there are extra films in the middle.
Carousel 14: On the fourth carousel there is Cemeteries and Lobster Trap written on one side of the outside, on another side is Tombstones and Lobster Bugs. Contains what appears to be a presentation outline to go with it.
Carousel 5: On the fifth carousel there is I. Narrative in stone, glass, paint, thread II. Devil. On the other side is Narrative in other media and Devil. No dates indicated.
Box 3:
Slide wheel without a box containing about 45 slides, some labeled.
Carousel 6: On the sixth carousel there is Festivals and Holidays. About 45 slides.
Carousel 7: On the seventh carousel there is “stuff of stars” and metataxis design #25 written on the outside. Some written notes on the slide of the inside, no dates.
Carousel 8: On the eighth carousel there is Curran property written on the outside. Presentation outline on the inside. Belongs to MF015 Curran Family Homestead Project.
Carousel 9: On the ninth carousel there is The Lumberman’s Life is written on the side. Photo numbers written on the slides inside. Belongs to MF012 Lumberman’s Life Series Collection.
