Biographical / Historical
Vaughan Jones and Austin Jones were sons of Freeland and Mabel Vaughan Jones of Bangor, Maine. Vaughan Jones was born in 1881 and was a graduate of the class of 1904 at the University of Maine. He died in 1967. His brother, Austin Jones, born in 1888 in Caribou, Maine, was a member of the class of 1912. Austin Jones' son, Freeland Jones, was born in 1923 in Bangor and was a 1948 graduate of the university. He died in 2006.

Gifted to Special Collections by Karen Walker as Accession #2013-1010a. The University related memorabilia had been saved by Karen Walker's family members Austin Whittier Jones, Freeland Jones I and Freeland Jones II.
