Biographical Note

Philip Marsh was born in Everett, Mass. in 1893. He served in the Navy in WWI, graduated from UMaine in 1929, UMaine and Harvard with an M.A. in 1932 and PhD at UCLA, 1945. He was a professor at Miami University, University of Hawaii, California Institute of Technology and Adrian College. He has written six books and 22 essays.
