Biographical Note

Born in Waterboro, Maine in 1904, graduated from Deering High School, and from the Portland School of Fine Arts in 1926. He was a painter of rural and coastal Maine scenes. He was President of the Portland Arts and Crafts Society, Board of Directors of American Artists Professional League from 1945-1948. He owned and operated a studio, gallery and school in Kennebunkport. He has exhibited in many shows and galleries around the country.
