Biographical Note

Vivian Abbie Powers was born December 29, 1901 in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, to Eva Brockway, age 28, and Moses W. Powers, age 32. She married Maurice B. Byer in Bangor, Maine, on June 14, 1922. At the time of her marriage, Vivian was a music teacher. Her husband Maurice passed away on November 29, 1971, in Bangor, Maine, at the age of 70. They had been married 49 years.
