Biographical Note

Stanley R. Tupper was born in Boston, Mass. in 1921, graduated from Middlebury College, Vermont, got his LLb from LaSalle Extension in 1948. Admitted to the Maine Bar in 1949. Served in the Maine Legislature in 1953. Was elected to Congress in 1953 and served in the 87th Congress from Maine's 2nd District, and the 88th-89th Congress from the 1st District. He served as the Assistant Attorney General for Maine, 1959-1960.
