Scope and Contents

A photograph album belonging to Elmer O. Goodridge, a member of the class of 1885 at the Maine State College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts (now the University of Maine). The album contains images of members of the class, as well as of college president Merritt C. Fernald and members of the faculty. Scenes from the campus are also depicted.

Biographical Note

Elmer O. Goodridge, a native of Milo, Maine, was a graduate of the University of Maine, receiving a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 1885 and a master's degree in 1888. He moved to Melrose, Mass., in 1902 and worked for many years as a mechanical engineer at the U.S. Rubber Shoe Co. in Malden and Melrose, Mass. He died April 20, 1943.
