Biographical Note
Rice W. Guptill was born in 1811 and died in 1874 in Chatham, New Hampshire. He married Esther Irish, the daughter of Obediah Irish and Mary Deane. They had 2 children: Miranda and Edson. He was a town clerk of Chatham and a justice of the peace for the County of Carroll in New Hampshire.
