Correspondents include representatives of the National German-American Alliance and the Imperial German Consulate as well as individuals with a possible interest in the proposal. J. C. Mangold, a resident of Portland, Maine, was the president of American Securities Co. of Portland and the member for the state of Maine to the National Executive Council of the National German-American Alliance.
