Biographical Note

Ebenezer Blaisdell, born in Providence, R.I., settled in Winterport, Maine and was a tanner and farmer. He married Annie Ferren of Kennebunkport, Maine. Their son, Eben Ferren Blaisdell, was born in Frankfort, Maine in 1823, married Nancy Chase, and died in Bradford, Pa. in 1901. Their sons Walter Ferren, Mark Lester, Frank Lewis, Joseph William, Silas Canada, Philo Chase, Abraham Lincoln and Edward Kendall Blaisdell were engaged in wood and coal businesses in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Abraham Blaisdell also seems to have had a business in Winterport.
