Scope and Contents
A humorous account kept by J.S. Bradford of a sailing trip made by a group of friends in 1905. Arriving in Boston after traveling by boat from somewhere south of Long Island, N.Y., the group went by train to Portsmouth, N.H., where they boarded the sailing ship Valiant. They then sailed to Bar Harbor, Maine and back; the log recounts their activities both on the vessel as well as while visiting friends ashore.
