Biograhical Note
Dr. Alphonso N. Witham was born in the Oxford County, Maine, area in the 1860s. He graduated from Bridgton Academy in Bridgton, Maine, and received his M.D. from the University of Vermont. He first practiced medicine on Swans Island, Maine, before moving his practice to South Paris, North Windham and later Westbrook, Maine. He retired in the early 1930s.
