Scope and Contents
Daybook from an unidentified business in North Berwick, Maine, probably a general store, recording names of customers, their purchases, and the cost of each item. Purchases include butter, sugar, pork, crackers, eggs, rakes, cloth, buttons, etc. A few pages of the volume have newspaper clippings pasted in and unattached clippings were also received with the volume; most clippings concern recipes or household hints.
