Diary of a farmer in Leeds, Maine for the year 1927. Entries record the weather and the daily life of a farmer and include cutting ice, taking milk to the station, hauling logs to the mill, chopping and stacking wood, helping his wife with the wash every Monday, going to Farm Bureau meetings. Accounts for 1927 are listed at the end of the diary.

Biographical Note
Ernest Alonzo Russell, son of Alonzo Proctor and Mary Ann Russell, was born in 1872. He married Kittie Lane, daughter of George Bailey and Viola Lane, in 1892. He was a farmer who resided in Leeds, Maine. He and Kittie had a daughter named Eula born in 1896 and she married Adin Furner.
