Scope and Contents Note

Records of a Sunday school association in Lincoln County, Maine in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Included in the record book are minutes, officers, and constitution. Also included are a pamphlet "Constitution of the Maine Council of Religious Education," an agenda for the annual meeting in 1933, and lists of officers of the Southern District and of the Eastern District in 1931.

Historical Note

The Lincoln County Union Sunday School Association was organized in 1890. Membership included any minister of the gospel, superintendent or officer, teacher or adult member of any evangelical Sunday school in Lincoln County, Maine. Its object was the promotion of the interests of the Sunday schools in the county.
