Biographical Note
James Moreland was born in 1897 in Illinois and resided most of his early life in Georgetown, Kentucky. He died in Oswego, N.Y. in 1951. He was a member of the faculty of the University of Maine from 1930 to 1936 and received his Master's degree there in 1934. He received his B.A. degree from Georgetown College in 1924. He was professor of English at the State University Teachers College, Oswego, N.Y. He conducted research into the history of the theater in Portland, Maine.
