Biographical Note
Daniel Richardson graduated form Bowdoin College in 1841. He taught school, he was a mail carrier and postmaster in East Baldwin. He was superintendent of schools, town selectman, Assistant Marshall for the 1850 and 1870 census, state senator, and U.S. claims agent for Civil War veterans. He also operated a general store in East Baldwin for over 35 years.
