Biographical Note

Col. Francis R. Fuller was born in 1890 in Pawtucket, R.I. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1913. He served with the 10th Machine Gun Battalion, 4th Infantry Division during World War I. He instructed at the infantry school, was Assistant Professor of Military Science and Tactics at the University of Idaho. Was Commander of ROTC Detachment at University of Maine, Orono, 1941-43 and 1945-1950. He served with Headquarters 6th Army Group 1943-1945. He was awarded the Croix de Guerre and the Legion of Merit.
