Abstract Papers include copies of Coleman's letters, 1929-1945, primarily to his mother and sister in which he writes of his life while teaching in Berlin, N.H., as an analyst in the Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce in Washington, D.C., and while serving with the United States Army in Italy during World War II. The collection also contains letters of condolence to Coleman's wife after his death in 1945 as well as family photographs.

Scope and Content Note From the Record Group: The record group contains correspondence, 1917-1918, of university president Robert J. Aley and registrar James A. Gannett with students serving in the military as well as correspondence of the alumni association in its effort to raise funds for a memorial building to be erected on campus.
