The Fogler Library Special Collections Department was established in 1970 as a repository for Maine-related material. Books, pamphlets, state documents, and other forms of printed material provide extensive coverage of Maine's cities, towns, counties, people and institutions and can be located through the library's online catalog
These printed resources are complemented by a substantial body of original source materials. This interface was created to serve as a means to search through descriptions of these original sources, allowing for the discovery of manuscripts, records, and oral history interviews held by Special Collections.
You can start with a basic keyword search below, or use the drop down menus to create a more advanced search limited to collection descriptions, digital materials, specific names or titles, or a certain range of dates.
